What a Busy, and Awesome , Week at Ross! 🐯

Hello Ross Families, Wow… what a week!

We packed a lot into the past few days at Ross. We had our Terry Fox Run, our first PAC meeting of the year, the Book Fair, Pizza Lunch, and tonight we wrap it all up with our Ice Cream Social!  We hope you can join us from 5:00–6:30 PM to enjoy some ice cream, say hello, and meet our wonderful Ross staff.

A reminder that there is No school for students tomorrow. Our staff will be engaging in professional development across the district, learning and collaborating so we can continue to provide the best possible instruction and support for your children.

Looking ahead to next week:

Tuesday, September 29 – Orange Shirt Day
Students and staff are encouraged to wear orange as we learn, reflect, and honour the message that Every Child Matters.

 Wednesday, September 30 – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
There will be no school as we recognize this important day.

And just like that… September is almost behind us. Wow, that was a fast month!

Bring on October… and dare I say it… Halloween?!

Reminders

Parking

If you are driving your child to school, please park on the street and walk to get your child. If you are dropping off using the bus lane, please be aware that the bus arrives 8:45am and you need to be quick about the kids getting out of the car. If you drop off in the lane closest to the road, please have them exit onto the grass and use the cross walk to cross the street. Please do not park and leave your vehicle in the bus lane.

Absences

If your child is going to be absent please use the Safe Arrival which can be found on the Ross website - https://ross.abbyschools.ca/safe-arrival . If they are late, please come and check in at the office. If you are not going to be riding the bus, please also let us know that you are picking up your child. Our phone number is 604-856-6079.

A message from the Ross PAC:

There is a PAC meeting in September: WEDNESDAY SEPT. 23^rd 6:30pm in our Multi-Purpose room. All parents of Ross students are welcome to attend. 

Sign up to receive emails from the Ross PAC: [email protected] or return the paper form that your child brought home. Your email address will not be shared or used for any other purpose. Stay informed and keep up to date with upcoming PAC events, news and more.

The PAC is looking for volunteers to join the committees for each of the following upcoming school events:

* Santa Breakfast

* Christmas Store

* Fun Fair

* Hot Lunch
