Dear Ross Families,

We have an exciting week coming up at Ross Elementary!

Book Fair – 21^st to the 24th
Our Book Fair is happening this week! Students will have the opportunity to purchase books at recess and after school. We hope everyone finds a great new book to enjoy!

 Ice Cream Social – Thursday, 5:00–6:30 PM
Our annual Ross Ice Cream Social is this Thursday! All Ross families are invited to stop by, enjoy some ice cream, say hello to our teachers, and spend some time together as a school community. We would love to see you there! 😊

🏃 Terry Fox Run – Thursday
Thursday is also our Terry Fox Run. After recess, our students will learn about Terry Fox, his incredible story, and the legacy he left for Canadians. Then, our entire school will head outside and run together for 30 minutes in his honour.

It’s going to be a busy and fun week at Ross . Books, ice cream, community, and a little running too!

Blue Verification Forms

Blue verification forms were sent home this week. Please make sure you sign the form on the back.  Any other forms attached, please read carefully and fill in all the information they are looking for.

Reminders

Parking

If you are driving your child to school, please park on the street and walk to get your child. If you are dropping off using the bus lane, please be aware that the bus arrives 8:45am and you need to be quick about the kids getting out of the car. If you drop off in the lane closest to the road, please have them exit onto the grass and use the cross walk to cross the street. Please do not park and leave your vehicle in the bus lane.

Absences

If your child is going to be absent please use the Safe Arrival which can be found on the Ross website - https://ross.abbyschools.ca/safe-arrival . If they are late, please come and check in at the office. If you are not going to be riding the bus, please also let us know that you are picking up your child. Our phone number is 604-856-6079.

There is a PAC meeting in September: WEDNESDAY SEPT. 23^rd 6:30pm in our Multi-Purpose room. All parents of Ross students are welcome to attend.
