A Message from Your Principal, Mr. Frew

Hello Ross Families!

We have had another wonderful week at Ross Elementary!

First, a big THANK YOU to all our Grade 4 and 5 students who participated in the Cross Country events at Bradner! We are so proud of your effort, determination, and sportsmanship. A special thank you to the parents and families who helped with transportation and came out to cheer on our runners. Your support makes these opportunities possible!

Up next is SOCCER! We are excited to offer another opportunity for our students to get active, have fun, and represent Ross. Permission forms will be coming home soon, so keep an eye out!

We also have some exciting events just around the corner:

• Parent-Teacher Conferences – October 21 & 22: A great opportunity to connect with teachers and celebrate student learning.
• Ross Boo Bash! Get ready for some spooky fun with our Ross community!
• Halloween Celebration – Friday, October 30! 🎃 We look forward to seeing all the creative costumes and enjoying a fun-filled day at school!

It's shaping up to be a busy and exciting couple of weeks!

As always, thank you to our wonderful Ross families for your continued support and for helping make our school such a special place to learn and grow.

What is happening soon?

October 19^th – PAC meeting at 6:30 in our Multi-Purpose room

October 21^st- parent/teacher conferences 1:20 – 3pm

October 22^nd - parent/teacher conferences 1:20 – 3pm   and then 4:30 – 7pm

October 23^rd – Professional Development Day for Staff. No school for students

October 28^th – BOO Bash 5:30 – 7:30.

October 30^th – Halloween edition of our HEROIC assembly. 9:30 am in our gym

Reminders

Parking

If you are driving your child to school, please park on the street and walk to get your child. If you are dropping off using the bus lane, please be aware that the bus arrives 8:45am and you need to be quick about the kids getting out of the car. If you drop off in the lane closest to the road, please have them exit onto the grass and use the cross walk to cross the street. Please do not park and leave your vehicle in the bus lane.

Absences

If your child is going to be absent please use the Safe Arrival which can be found on the Ross website - https://ross.abbyschools.ca/safe-arrival . If they are late, please come and check in at the office. If you are not going to be riding the bus, please also let us know that you are picking up your child. Our phone number is 604-856-6079.
