Pink Shirt Day

February 28th was anti-bullying day. We appreciated all the pink that was in the building. Our grade 5 literacy group did a reader's theatre on the book, One by Kathryn Otoshi. The message of the story was that if we can support one another and stand up for kindness than we make an impact in our world. We continued to talk about WITS (Walk away, Ignore, Talk it Out or Seek help) and ways to solve problems on the playground. It is always a great reminder that kindness is the most powerful way to combat meanness and bullying.
