A Message from Your Principal, Mr. Frew

Hello Ross Families,

As the colder, rainy weather settles in, we kindly ask that students come prepared with weather-appropriate jackets, boots, and cozy layers to help them stay warm and dry. Extra socks and a change of pants in backpacks are especially helpful for those unexpected puddle adventures!

Our Grade 4 & 5 Extracurricular Co-ed Floor Hockey program has officially begun and we’re thrilled to see so many students participating!

A quick reminder that our Lost & Found is once again overflowing , please stop by the school to take a look for any missing jackets, water bottles, or other items. We would love to get these belongings home where they belong!  Anything not claimed by Christmas break will be taken to the goodwill.

We are also excited to host our 2nd HEROIC Ross Student Celebration this Thursday at 1:30 PM in the gym. Parents and guardians are warmly welcomed to join us as we celebrate the awesome things happening at Ross!

What is happening next week?

Wednesday November 26th – Grade 4/5 Co-ed Extra-curricular floor hockey after school.

November 25^th – PAC meeting. 6:30 at Ross multi-purpose room.

November 27^th – HEROIC Student Assembly. 1:30pm.

What is happening later??

Thursday December 11^th – PAC lead Ross Christmas Store

Tuesday,  December 16th – Ross Christmas Concert.

December 17^th – “Student Learning Updates”,  formally known as report cards, sent home.

Reminders

Parking

If you are driving your child to school, please park on the street and walk to get your child. If you are dropping off using the bus lane, please be aware that the bus arrives 8:45am and you need to be quick about the kids getting out of the car. If you drop off in the lane closest to the road, please have them exit onto the grass and use the crosswalk to cross the street. Please do not park and leave your vehicle in the bus lane.

Absences

If your child is going to be absent please use the Safe Arrival which can be found on the Ross website - https://ross.abbyschools.ca/safe-arrival . If they are late, please come and check in at the office. If you are not going to be riding the bus, please also let us know that you are picking up your child. Our phone number is 604-856-6079.
