A Message from Your Principal, Mr. Frew

It’s hard to believe we’re just five short weeks away from Christmas break! The energy around the school is high as students continue to work hard and enjoy all the fun that comes with this season. We’re so proud of the learning and growth happening in every classroom.

As we move toward the holidays, we’ll be sending home our first Student Learning Updates on Wednesday, December 17th. These updates provide a snapshot of your child’s progress using the provincial proficiency scale and highlight their growth so far this year.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership, it truly makes a difference. Let’s make these next few weeks a strong and joyful finish to 2025!

What is happening next week?

Wednesday November 19th – Grade 4/5 Co-ed Extra-curricular floor hockey after school.

What is happening later??

November 25^th – PAC meeting. 6:30 at Ross multi-purpose room.

November 27^th – HEROIC Student Assembly. 1:30pm.

Thursday December 11^th – PAC lead Ross Christmas Store

Tuesday,  December 16th – Ross Christmas Concert

December 17^th – “Student Learning Updates”,  formally known as report cards, sent home.

Reminders

Parking

If you are driving your child to school, please park on the street and walk to get your child. If you are dropping off using the bus lane, please be aware that the bus arrives 8:45am and you need to be quick about the kids getting out of the car. If you drop off in the lane closest to the road, please have them exit onto the grass and use the crosswalk to cross the street. Please do not park and leave your vehicle in the bus lane.

Absences

If your child is going to be absent please use the Safe Arrival which can be found on the Ross website - https://ross.abbyschools.ca/safe-arrival . If they are late, please come and check in at the office. If you are not going to be riding the bus, please also let us know that you are picking up your child. Our phone number is 604-856-6079.
