We have some exciting events coming up at Ross Elementary, and we would love to see our community out supporting our students!

 Sports Day – Friday, June 5
Sports Day is back at Ross!! Get ready for a fun-filled day of tug-of-war, foot races, and more. All families are warmly invited to come cheer on your children and enjoy the excitement together.

 Grade 4/5 Track Meet – Tuesday, June 9
Our Grade 4 and 5 students will be showcasing their athletic talents at the track meet. Parents are welcome to meet us at the park and cheer on our Ross athletes!

Waterslides Trip – Wednesday, June 17
A highlight for our students, our trip to the waterslides! More information will be shared with participating classes as the date approaches.

Wheels Day – Tuesday, June 23
Bring your bikes or scooters and join us for a ride around our custom-designed track! More details coming soon.

We look forward to celebrating these fun, active moments together as a school community. Your presence and support make these events even more special for our students!

What is happening next week?

May 4^th – STAR WARS Day. Dress up! Wear your favourite t-shirt!

Thursday May 7^th – Ready, Set, Learn for new families in kindergarten for the 2026/27 year.

Friday May 8^th – Hot Lunch

What is happening later?

Friday May 15^th – Professional development day for teachers. No school for students.

Monday May 18^th – Victoria Day. No school for staff or students.

Reminders

Parking

If you are driving your child to school, please park on the street and walk to get your child. If you are dropping off using the bus lane, please be aware that the bus arrives 8:45am and you need to be quick about the kids getting out of the car. If you drop off in the lane closest to the road, please have them exit onto the grass and use the crosswalk to cross the street. Please do not park and leave your vehicle in the bus lane.

Absences

If your child is going to be absent please use the Safe Arrival which can be found on the Ross website - https://ross.abbyschools.ca/safe-arrival . If they are late, please come and check in at the office. If you are not going to be riding the bus, please also let us know that you are picking up your child. Our phone number is 604-856-6079.

Sign up to receive emails from the Ross PAC: RossElementaryPAC@hotmail.com or return the paper form that your child brought home. Your email address will not be shared or used for any other purpose. Stay informed and keep up to date with upcoming PAC events, news and more.

PAC is holding a clothing drive on My 19th.  We will be donating all lost and found clothing that is not picked up before May 19th.   Please come and check out the lost and found.
