A Message from Your Principal, Mr. Frew

Ross families, we have very exciting events just around the corner, and we hope you can join us!

First up is our always incredible Ross Fun Fair! This is one of our most anticipated community events of the year and a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, laugh, play, and celebrate everything that makes Ross such a special place. A huge thank you to our PAC and volunteers who work so hard to make this event such a memorable experience for our children.

Then, on Monday, June 1 at 2:15 PM, we invite you to our Parent Appreciation Assembly in the gym. This assembly is especially meaningful because it is our students’ chance to celebrate YOU. Our children have been working on special ways to show their appreciation for all of your love, support, encouragement, packed lunches, homework help, rides to activities, bedtime stories, and everything else you do each and every day.

Make some time to come down to our gym and see what your children have cooked up for you. It is going to be a heartfelt, joyful event that you will not want to miss.

Thank you for being such an important part of our Ross community.

What is happening next week?

Monday May 18^th – Victoria Day. No school for staff or students.

Tuesday May 19^th – Year End Indigenous Family Dinner & Awards 4:30 – 7pm.

                   -PAC Annual General Meeting @ 6:30

Thursday May 21^st – Freezie Fundraiser Day

Friday May 22^nd – Hot lunch

What is happening later?

May 29^th – Ross Fun Fair !!

June 1^st: HEROIC and Parent Appreciation Assembly. 2:15 in the gym.

Reminders

Parking

If you are driving your child to school, please park on the street and walk to get your child. If you are dropping off using the bus lane, please be aware that the bus arrives 8:45am and you need to be quick about the kids getting out of the car. If you drop off in the lane closest to the road, please have them exit onto the grass and use the crosswalk to cross the street. Please do not park and leave your vehicle in the bus lane.

Absences

If your child is going to be absent please use the Safe Arrival which can be found on the Ross website - https://ross.abbyschools.ca/safe-arrival . If they are late, please come and check in at the office. If you are not going to be riding the bus, please also let us know that you are picking up your child. Our phone number is 604-856-6079.
