Shape of the Week - March 16 - 27

ROSS ELEMENTARY WEEKLY NEWSLETTER

Friday March 13th, 2026.

A Message from Your Principal, Mr. Frew

As we head into Spring Break, I want to take a moment to thank our entire Ross community for the energy, kindness, and spirit that you bring to our school each day. It has been a busy and joyful stretch of learning, growing, and celebrating together, and I am incredibly proud of our students and grateful for the support of our families.

Spring Break is a special time to slow down, recharge, and spend meaningful time together. Whether your plans include travelling, exploring locally, or simply enjoying some quiet days at home, I hope the break brings your family rest, laughter, and memorable moments.

Take this time to breathe, enjoy the sunshine when it appears, and reconnect with the simple things that make life special. Listen to music, dance, and play with your families. You deserve it!

AND.. Just a reminder that while we are skipping our March HEROIC Assembly, we will be back celebrating together at the end of April! When we return, we’d love to include photos from our Ross families in a special Spring Break memories slideshow.

Whether your adventure is big or small, travelling, visiting family, exploring locally, or relaxing at home, please send a photo of your family’s Spring Break moment to Joe.Frew@abbyschools.ca so we can include it in the celebration.

Abbotsford Summer School Registration Open

Registration is now open for the Abbotsford School District Summer School (K–8) and will remain open until April 20 at 4:00 pm. These programs are designed to support students who received an Emerging or Developing on their report card and focus on reinforcing key literacy and numeracy skills before the next school year.

Classes run in late June and July at Clearbrook Elementary, Godson Elementary, and Colleen & Gordie Howe Middle, with half-day sessions for both elementary and middle school students. If you feel your child would benefit from additional learning support, please consider registering.
