A Message from Your Principal, Mr. Frew

If your children are coming home talking about extra outside recess time, music, and so much fun, they are not exaggerating! The recent sunshine has truly brought out the best at Ross, and we’re seeing lots of smiles, energy, and joy throughout the school day.

We’re excited to share that more hockey sticks are on the way, along with new pails and shovels for our new sandbox, just in time for more outdoor play and creativity.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support in making Ross such a vibrant and happy place to learn and grow.

What is happening next week?

Wednesday January 28^th @ 1:30 – HEROIC Assembly

Thursday January 29^th – Vancouver Aquarium Field Trip for some classes.

Friday January 30th^h – Colour Day (each class picks 1 colour to wear)

What is happening later?

February 13^th – Professional Development Day. NO SCHOOL for Students.

Reminders

Parking

If you are driving your child to school, please park on the street and walk to get your child. If you are dropping off using the bus lane, please be aware that the bus arrives 8:45am and you need to be quick about the kids getting out of the car. If you drop off in the lane closest to the road, please have them exit onto the grass and use the crosswalk to cross the street. Please do not park and leave your vehicle in the bus lane.

Absences

If your child is going to be absent please use the Safe Arrival which can be found on the Ross website - https://ross.abbyschools.ca/safe-arrival . If they are late, please come and check in at the office. If you are not going to be riding the bus, please also let us know that you are picking up your child. Our phone number is 604-856-6079.
