A Message from Your Principal, Mr. Frew

Happy New Year, Ross Families!

We hope you had a restful and joyful holiday season filled with time, laughter, and connection. It was wonderful to see the generosity and care shown across our community through gift-giving and support for one another, this spirit of kindness truly reflects what makes Ross such a special place.

As we head into the new year, we’re excited to get started with Grade 4/5 co-ed handball, so please watch for permission forms coming home soon.

Also, a gentle reminder to ensure students are dressed for the weather each day. We DO go outside, and students are always excited for outdoor time ….especially when they’re prepared!

Wishing you and your family a very happy, healthy, and successful 2026. We’re looking forward to a great 2026 together at Ross.

January 28^th – HEROIC Assembly at 1:30.

January 29^th – Vancouver Aquarium Field Trip for some classes.

Reminders

Parking

If you are driving your child to school, please park on the street and walk to get your child. If you are dropping off using the bus lane, please be aware that the bus arrives 8:45am and you need to be quick about the kids getting out of the car. If you drop off in the lane closest to the road, please have them exit onto the grass and use the crosswalk to cross the street. Please do not park and leave your vehicle in the bus lane.

Absences

If your child is going to be absent please use the Safe Arrival which can be found on the Ross website - https://ross.abbyschools.ca/safe-arrival . If they are late, please come and check in at the office. If you are not going to be riding the bus, please also let us know that you are picking up your child. Our phone number is 604-856-6079.
