Shape of the Week - Feb 9 - 13

ROSS ELEMENTARY WEEKLY NEWSLETTER

Friday February 6th, 2026.

A Message from Your Principal, Mr. Frew

As the weather continues to change, we kindly remind families to ensure students come to school with extra pants and socks in their backpacks. Our playgrounds and play structures can become wet and muddy, and at Ross we go outside every recess, rain or shine! Being prepared helps students stay comfortable and ready to learn throughout the day.

We are also excited to share that the Winter Olympics have begun, and we will be watching a variety of events here at school. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to connect learning to real-world events, celebrate perseverance and teamwork, and experience the joy of international sport. We encourage all students to cheer proudly for Canada or for their home country as we celebrate athletes from around the world.

I would also like to extend a sincere thank you to the many parents, guardians, and grandparents who generously volunteer their time to support our school community. Whether you are joining us on a field trip (such as a visit to the aquarium), helping with classroom activities, or safely walking children to class in the morning, your presence truly makes a difference.

Your efforts do not go unnoticed. We see you, we appreciate you, and most importantly, your children thank you too.
