A Message from Your Principal, Mr. Frew

Dear Ross Families,

Thank you to all the parent volunteers that joined us at the Vancouver Aquarium. We all had a fantastic time!

February is shaping up to be a busy and exciting month at Ross! Please take note of these important upcoming dates and events:

🍪 Tuesday, February 10 – Bake Sale
All proceeds will support our Grade 5 end-of-year events. Thank you for your generosity and sweet support!

🌭 February 12 – Hot Lunch Day

📚 February 13 – Professional Development Day
No school for students as staff participate in learning and collaboration.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 February 16 – Family Day
No school for staff or students. Enjoy the day together!

🕧 February 18 – Early Dismissal (12:30 pm)
Students will go home at 12:30 pm.

🕧 February 19 – Early Dismissal (12:30 pm)
Students will go home at 12:30 pm.

• Student Led Parent/Teacher Conferences. There will be a separate email soon with all the sign-up information. 😊

💗 February 25 – Pink Shirt Day
We encourage all students and staff to wear pink as we stand together against bullying and celebrate kindness, respect, and inclusion.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We’re looking forward to a fun, caring, and community-filled February at Ross!

Reminders

Parking

If you are driving your child to school, please park on the street and walk to get your child. If you are dropping off using the bus lane, please be aware that the bus arrives 8:45am and you need to be quick about the kids getting out of the car. If you drop off in the lane closest to the road, please have them exit onto the grass and use the crosswalk to cross the street. Please do not park and leave your vehicle in the bus lane.

Absences

If your child is going to be absent please use the Safe Arrival which can be found on the Ross website - https://ross.abbyschools.ca/safe-arrival . If they are late, please come and check in at the office. If you are not going to be riding the bus, please also let us know that you are picking up your child. Our phone number is 604-856-6079.
