A Message from Your Principal, Mr. Frew

Ross Families,
As we head into the final stretch before winter break, our school is buzzing with excitement and joyful energy. Thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and partnership, it truly makes Ross a special place to learn and grow.

Over the next two weeks, you’ll notice lots of festive spirit, student leadership, community connection, and opportunities for celebration. Whether it’s concerts, assemblies, treats, crafts, or cozy pajama mornings, the heart of the season is really about togetherness. We appreciate everything you do to help your children show up ready, excited, and engaged during this wonderfully busy time.

What is happening next week?

• Wednesday, December 10th – Div. 4 Sponsored Bake Sale in the Multi-Purpose Room. Bring your loonies and toonies for tasty treats!
• Thursday, December 11th – PAC-led Ross Christmas Store for Kids.
• Friday, December 12th – White Spot Hot Lunch. Festive Christmas Sweater Day!

What is happening later??

• Tuesday, December 16th – Ross Christmas Concert – 6:30 PM at Ross Community Church.
• Wednesday, December 17th – Student Learning Updates go home.
• Thursday, December 18^th – HEROIC Assembly at 11:30. Parents welcome!
• Friday, December 19th – Breakfast with Santa in the gym & Cozy Pajama Day!

Reminders

Parking

If you are driving your child to school, please park on the street and walk to get your child. If you are dropping off using the bus lane, please be aware that the bus arrives 8:45am and you need to be quick about the kids getting out of the car. If you drop off in the lane closest to the road, please have them exit onto the grass and use the crosswalk to cross the street. Please do not park and leave your vehicle in the bus lane.

Absences

If your child is going to be absent please use the Safe Arrival which can be found on the Ross website - https://ross.abbyschools.ca/safe-arrival . If they are late, please come and check in at the office. If you are not going to be riding the bus, please also let us know that you are picking up your child. Our phone number is 604-856-6079.

Sign up to receive emails from the Ross PAC: RossElementaryPAC@hotmail.com or return the paper form that your child brought home. Your email address will not be shared or used for any other purpose. Stay informed and keep up to date with upcoming PAC events, news and more.

Christmas Store

The Christmas Store is coming up fast on Dec 11.  PAC is needing more donations of gently used or new household items to stock the store. For example, gifts for dad, gifts for mom, household decor, toys, and more. Please bring items to the box outside the office.

PAC is also needing volunteers to make this Christmas Store successful. We especially need volunteers for setup on Dec 10. The proceeds from this store goes towards hampers for our very own Ross families.  You can sign up online at this link:
