A Message from Your Principal, Mr. Frew

Dear Ross Families,

What an exciting week it has been at Ross! As we edge closer to the winter break, the energy around the school has definitely ramped up. Our students have been buzzing with anticipation, and it has been wonderful to see so many joyful moments throughout the building.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported Wednesday’s Bake Sale, it was a tremendous success, and our students loved every minute (and every treat!). We also want to extend an especially heartfelt thank you to all the families who donated items for the Famous Ross Christmas Store. The event was fantastic, and your generosity helped create a magical experience for our students as they carefully selected gifts for their loved ones.

We are grateful for your continued support in making Ross Elementary such a warm, connected, and spirited community. With more exciting events still to come next week, we’re looking forward to carrying this festive momentum right into the break!

What is happening next week?

• Tuesday, December 16th – Ross Christmas Concert – 6:30 PM at Ross Community Church.
• Wednesday, December 17th – Student Learning Updates go home.
• Thursday, December 18^th – HEROIC Assembly at 11:30. Parents welcome!
• Friday, December 19th – Breakfast with Santa in the gym & Cozy Pajama Day! Last day before 2 weeks off.

What is happening later??

2 weeks of Christmas Vacation!! WOO HOO!!

Reminders

Parking

If you are driving your child to school, please park on the street and walk to get your child. If you are dropping off using the bus lane, please be aware that the bus arrives 8:45am and you need to be quick about the kids getting out of the car. If you drop off in the lane closest to the road, please have them exit onto the grass and use the crosswalk to cross the street. Please do not park and leave your vehicle in the bus lane.

Absences

If your child is going to be absent please use the Safe Arrival which can be found on the Ross website - https://ross.abbyschools.ca/safe-arrival . If they are late, please come and check in at the office. If you are not going to be riding the bus, please also let us know that you are picking up your child. Our phone number is 604-856-6079.
