A Message from Your Principal, Mr. Frew

Good Day Ross families,

There is still time to send in your Spring Break adventure photos, we love seeing the wonderful memories our students have been making! These will be featured at our upcoming HEROIC Assembly on April 30th at 9:30 a.m.

A big thank you in advance to those who will be volunteering to help celebrate Vaisakhi on April 14th. We’re looking forward to a joyful day that will include a henna station, lunchtime dance performances, and samosas for all!

It also looks like the rain is making a return next week, so please remember to dress your children for the weather! 

Thank you for your continued support in making our school such a caring and connected community.

Thursday April 16^th- Dance Performance by Ilumidance Theater Production company.

April 26 – May 4 – Tennis XL is coming to our school to teach our students how to play tennis and pickleball.

Abbotsford Summer School Registration Open

Registration is now open for the Abbotsford School District Summer School (K–8) and will remain open until April 20 at 4:00 pm. These programs are designed to support students who received an Emerging or Developing on their report card and focus on reinforcing key literacy and numeracy skills before the next school year.

Classes run in late June and July at Clearbrook Elementary, Godson Elementary, and Colleen & Gordie Howe Middle, with half-day sessions for both elementary and middle school students. If you feel your child would benefit from additional learning support, please consider registering.

Reminders

Parking

If you are driving your child to school, please park on the street and walk to get your child. If you are dropping off using the bus lane, please be aware that the bus arrives 8:45am and you need to be quick about the kids getting out of the car. If you drop off in the lane closest to the road, please have them exit onto the grass and use the crosswalk to cross the street. Please do not park and leave your vehicle in the bus lane.

Absences

If your child is going to be absent please use the Safe Arrival which can be found on the Ross website - https://ross.abbyschools.ca/safe-arrival . If they are late, please come and check in at the office. If you are not going to be riding the bus, please also let us know that you are picking up your child. Our phone number is 604-856-6079.
