Shape of the Week
March 31- school reopens
Message to community:
This week has been filled with amazing activities! One of the highlights is that Division 2, along with a few other students, has been working on "Personal and Cultural Identity Projects" using Book Creator. These projects will be showcased at the Reach Museum during April and May. Be sure to visit and see the incredible work from our students and others in the Abbotsford School District.
With spring break just around the corner, all the kids are buzzing with excitement. I hope you get the chance to spend quality time with your loved ones and create some wonderful memories.
Learning
As I was asking around the building about what the kids are learning this week, I gathered some interesting insights. Division Three has been engrossed in the story Unplugged by Gordon Korman. This book tells the tale of a spoiled boy, the son of a tech billionaire, who is sent to a wellness camp where he must unplug from technology. His journey is filled with numerous adventures. Division One is delving into the world of energy by making cars, utilizing 3D-printed wheels for their explorations. Meanwhile, Division Seven experienced a bit of magic when a leprechaun visited and left them a gold coin, sparking a delightful mystery.

Parking
If you are driving your child to school, please park on the street and walk to get your child. If you are dropping off using the bus lane, please be aware that the bus arrives at 8:45am and you need to be quick about the kids getting out of the car. If you drop off in the lane closest to the road, please have them exit onto the grass and use the crosswalk to cross the street. Please do not park and leave your vehicle in the bus lane.
Lost and Found
Our lost and found is already growing. If you are able to label your child’s clothes, we do our very best to get any clothes left on the playground back to them. We will put out our Lost and Found every Friday, so please come and have look.
Absences
If your child is going to be absent, please use the Safe Arrival which can be found on the Ross website - https://ross.abbyschools.ca/safe-arrival . If they are late, please come and check in at the office. If you are not going to be riding the bus, please also let us know that you are picking up your child. Our phone number is 604-856-6079.
